The Electric Company - Red, Rip and Run

A very unique railfan sort of video from my own childhood growing up in Chicago during the early 1970's, was this one from the PBS television show "The Electric Company", which would teach mostly young viewers important scholastic reading skills.

This program aired on WTTW Channel 11 Chicago.

I recalled seeing this video way back in 1973. Acting out the part of a railroad yard switchman employee, is a then young and upcoming Oscar award winning future motion picture actor we all know today as "Morgan Freeman".

Lets hop aboard for a ride on the Red, Rip and Run Railroad.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
