The Eisenhower Public Library which is located at 4613 North Oketo Avenue in Harwood Heights Illinois, welcomes local Chicago historian, photographer and internet site host Edward Kwiatkowski to the library's upstairs meeting room on Saturday, March 16th, 2013 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM.
Eddie who is also the host of the popular local Chicago area internet site "Eddie's Railfan Page", will be hosting a multi media photo slideshow, video and lecture presentation about the early years of the Chicago Transit Authority, and will also cover the pre 1947 predecessor companies Chicago Rapid Transit Company, and the Chicago Surface Lines Company.
If you can remember electric streetcars, electric trolleybuses, propane buses or the elderly rapid transit cars that used to travel Chicago's elevated and subway rapid transit lines, then you won't want to miss this fun and nostalgic presentation at the Eisenhower Public Library.
