Village of Berwyn city limits border signs on West 16th Street. Berwyn Illinois. April 1989.

Hi everyone!

Welcome aboard Eddie's Railfan Page, from the city of Chicago Illinois USA.

During the late 1980's begining in 1987, I was an avid bicyclist. Monday through Friday, I would ride two miles to work and back, but on the weekends I would enjoy a day of local"Cross Country" style biking with plenty of fresh air, sunshine and photo opportunities.

I took this photograph during an April 1989 bicycle ride, through west suburban Berwyn Illinois.

Seen here on West 16th Street just west of the border of neighboring Cicero Illinois, are these local telephone pole mounted Berwyn city limits border signs, near the intersection of South Lombard Avenue.

Notice the former Berwyn mayor Joseph J. Lanzillotti's name on the sign.

Mayor Lanzillotti was also a cameo appearance guest a time or two, on the WFLD TV Channel 32 television show "The Son Of Svengoolie" during the 1980's. This popular local Chicago television horror movie and comedy show, was hosted by Rich Koz who made a lot of jokes about Berwyn on the show.

BER-WYN!?

Thanks.
Eddie K.
