One of my favorite activities I enjoyed when I lived on the southwest side of Chicago, and the southwest suburbs after 1990, was visiting the Frosted Mug Drive In Restaurant at West 116th Street and South Pulaski Road in Alsip Illinois.
From 1985 until the place closed in 2007, I was a regular visitor. The car shows on Tuesday and Saturday nights were fun, and sometimes they would hold an occasional weekend extra car show Sunday event.
This place even had year round car hop service, tasty food, homemade root beer, and plenty of happy memories.
I miss the Frosted Mug!
