I took this photo after work last week. Seen passing Common's Park on Des Plaines Avenue, is an eastbound Canadian National Railroad transfer freight train. Prior to the 1999 merger, this was the former Illinois Central Railroad's Iowa Division mainline. There is talk and feasability studies in the works at this time, for reviving Amtrak service on this line within the next few years.Monday, April 30, 2007
