I photographed this digital live sound video on location, at the Metra, River Grove commuter rail station. This is a rare scene of railroad maintenance and support operations. A speeding Metra EMD yard switcher locomotive, is viewed passing through the Metra, River Grove commuter rail station with a disabled commuter coach in tow.
This extra rescue train movement, is more than likely heading to the Metra / California Avenue coach yard and maintenance facility near the Western Avenue station. Anything from air conditioning to air brakes may have failed mechanically on this commuter coach.
