New York Central Railroad 1930's era boxcar. From the internet.

For many years , one of America's popular east coast railroads was the New York Central. Their mainlines had stretched all the way from New York City NY to Saint Louis Missouri.
During the late steam and early diesel era, the NYC used this unique and eye catching New York Central System oval corporate logo. This logo is seen on the side of one of the railroad's own 1930's era 40 foot steel box cars.

Notice the ladders and cat walk. These features were removed in the 1960's and no one bothered to tell employees. I learned by walking between cars and stepping out to find no cat walk, falling onto the drawbars.
