I took this photo during My recent September 2010 visit to The Chicago Botanic Garden in north suburban Glencoe Illinois.
Seen here resting high up on display above the information counter, is an LGB G Scale 1880's era narrow guage 2-6-0 and western style passenger train.
Although the locomotive is painted with markings for the also narrow guage Rio Grande Southern Railroad, the prototype of this locomotive was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia Pennsylvania for the Denver, South Park & Pacific Railroad in 1881.
Both were narrow guage railroads that operated in the state of Colorado.
