The west terminal of the CTA Route # 21 Cermak Road streetcar line at Cermak Road and Kenton Avenue. Cicero Illinois USA. Circa early 1950's.

I found this wonderful and very historic photograph at My links page Dave's Electric Railroads to the right of Your computer screen.

Seen here at the west suburban border of Cicero Illinois near the intersection of West Cermak Road and South Kenton Avenue, are CTA electric streetcars from the 1920's at the transfer point.

The CTA's former pre 1947 Chicago Surface Lines Route # 21 Cermak Road streetcar line, was in it's final years in operation before conversion to transit bus operation in 1954.

This area is still a bus transfer point today between CTA and Pace.
The storefronts are long gone, replaced by stripmalls and vacant lots during the late 1960's and early 1970's.
