Western Pacific EMD GP-20 # 2010. Ogden Utah. February 1988.

I found this photo on the internet recently.

Although railroads and other transportation companies frequently merge and sometimes lose their old corporate name, color scheme and idenity...It can sometimes take several years to get around to repainting the old equipment acquired by the take over company.

Even though the old Western Pacific Railroad was acquired through merger by the Union Pacific in the year of 1982, this old early 1960's era EMD model GP 20 roadswitcher, was viewed still wearing it's Western Pacific colors and markings in 1988 at Ogden Utah.
