Kenosha Transit 1978 slope back GMC RTS bus. Kenosha Wisconsin. April 2000.

I took this photo during the Saturday, April 29th, 2000 Kenosha Transit bus fans excursion, that was sponsored by the Chicago Chapter of The Omnibus Society of Chicago.

Our group utilized a 1975 GMC Fishbowl Windshield TDH series 35 foot transit bus, that was roolling out it's last few years in service.

A highlight of Our bus charter, was a visit to the Kenosha Transit bus garage. Seen here and open for inspection, is a Kenosha Transit GMC 1978 1st production slope backed RTS model transit bus. The GMC RTS model buses, originally were built with a sloped back. This was later changed around 1981 to a square or "Blunt" end.

In the past year or so, Kenosha Transit has since retired all of their remaining GMC RTS model buses, and replaced them with Nova's.
