Seen here in a photograph dated February 22nd, 1968, is a westbound CTA Route # 80 Irving Park Road electric trolleybus, at the location of West Irving Park Road and North Springfield Avenue. The electric trolleybus that is viewed here, was delivered to the Chicago Transit Authority in 1948 from the Pulman Standard Company, and operated until the late 1960's.

I was born in Chicago during 1962, and have happy childhood memories Myself, of the CTA electric trolleybuses during their final years of operation on Chicago's city streets.
