I took this photograph after work one bitterly cold winter evening, back in February of 2007.

I took this random snap shot photo around sunset, at the Canadian National Railroad's former Illinois Central R R Crawford Yard facility.

Many things have changed at this location since I had taken this photograph. The large Commonwealth Edison Company's coal fired Crawford generating station power plant seen in the distance to the left, was closed in 2013, and the red and white striped smoke stack in the photo was demolished. The Canadian National itself, had closed Crawford Yard in 2011, and removed all the remaining yard tracks.

I am so glad that I took this photograph when I did, as it is now historic.
