Early CSX train with former Seaboard System locomotives passing through Hayford Junction. Chicago Illinois. May 1990.

Hi everyone!
Welcome aboard Eddie's Railfan Page, from the city of Chicago Illinois USA. This is Eddie K, your host and photographer here at my blogsite.

I took this photograph way back in May of 1990. Seen here heading westbound through Hayford Junction, which is located at West 75th Street and South Central Park Avenue in Chicago's Ashburn neighborhood, is an early merger era CSX Transportation Comapny intermodal double stack container train, being pulled by former Seaboard System Railroad General Electric diesel locomotives acquired through merger.

This westbound double stack container train, is viewed heading to the nearby Belt Railway of Chicago / Clearing Yard facility in nearby Bedford Park Illinois near Chicago's Midway Airport.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
