Belt Railway of Chicago EMD roadswitchers at work. Clearing Yard. Chicago Illinois USA. June 2007.

I took this photo after work one day last week. Seen here looking northeast from the South Cicero Avenue overpass bridge, are two Belt Railway of Chicago EMD diesel road switchers working on the east side of Clearing yard inside the Chicago border. The two locomotives were pushing a large cut of covered hopper cars westbound into Clearing Yard. To the north on the right upper side of the photo, is the Wye interchange track that leads to and from the BRC's North /South mainline. The wye track is located just south of West 67th, to the southeast of Chicago's Midway airport.
