I photographed this classic image of working day steam railroading, at the Illinois Railway Museum. This was on a rainy Memorial Day weekend in May of 1985. The intermittent rain showers, gray skies and damp air, add a work a day feel to this photograph. The steam locomotive was leaving the enginehouse area and servicing tracks, and would soon couple up to the passenger coach train waiting at the East Union Depot. The museums operating day was just begining at the time of this photograph.Welcome to my rail fan page! Here you'll find information and pictures of railroad related items from the Chicagoland area, Wisconsin and Indiana. Enjoy your stay. All Aboard!
