Model Railroad Memorys. My first H.O Layout. 1986.

I took this photo in Febuary of 1986. This was My first H.O Scale model railroad. This was a small layout, as it was only 4' x 4'. I had painted that Athearn EMD GP-9 Myself into Chicago, Burlingtom & Quincy Railroad markings, as nothing was available commercially or inexpensively at that point in time.

Nice. Looks pretty good from this distance.

I believe that the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy refered to this 1950's era color scheme -as being the "Blackbird Scheme".
It was one of My favorites. It was replaced by the Chinese red and gray scheme in the late 1950's.
