The modern post 1961 Canadian National RR CN Logo. Schiller Park Illinois USA. October 2007.

I spotted this 3 unit set of modern Canadian National EMD heavy duty road freight diesel locomotives on the Lawrence Avenue underpass viaduct in Schiller Park Illinois.

This particular modern, tastefull and very simple CN logo, has been in use on the Canadian National Railroad since 1961. This corporate logo relaced an earlier Canadian Mapleleaf logo that hailed from the then recently phased out steam era. Steam trains operated untill the end of the 1950's in Canada on the mainline railroads.

Nice lettering -eh?
