A 1970's era Family Lines covered hopper in transit. Hawthorne Junction. Chicago / Cicero Illinois USA. June 2007.
Once in awhile , I occasionally spot rolling stock in color schemes and markings of "Fallen Flag" or "Predecessor" railroads that made up todays giant mega merger railroad carriers. This Family Lines covered hopper, now owned by todays CSX Transportation Company, is seen heading southbound on a Canadian Pacific transfer train at Hawthorne junction. The train is enroute to the Belt Railway of Chicago Clearing Yard in southwest suburban Bedford Park Illinois.
