The south hump at the BNSF Railway ex A,T & S,F Corwith Yard. Chicago Illinois. July 2008.

Believe it or not, part of My time spent railfanning...is actually in rush hour traffic.
I took this photo looking west on South Archer Avenue, just east of West 47th Street
on Chicago's southwest side.

This is the busy Burlington Northern, Santa Fe Railway south hump at the Corwith Yard intermodal facility. I have been railfanning this location with a camera on and off, since the
early 1980's when this was the former Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad. The former
A,T &,S,F did see it's fair share of piggyback and intermodal traffic here, but also a decent
amount of box car traffic too. Today it is practically 100% intermodal at Corwith Yard.
