Sunrise in Chicago Illinois. June 2008.
I took this unique photo on My way to work one morning, in June of 2008.
It was approximately 5 AM. We are looking northeast on Forest Preserve Drive, near the intersection of Irving Park Road, just west of the Harlem Irving Plaza shopping center at the Chicago city limits near Norridge, and Harwood Heights Ilinois. Another summer night in the city of Chicago is ending, and a new summer day is begining. The sun will soon rise in the eastern sky on this fine Chicago summer morning in 2008.

Is the bakery and Rolling Stone still there?
Hi Roger!
Thanks for dropping Me a nice line.
I believe that the bakery is gone,
but Rolling Stone Records is still
"Alive and Well"! I shop there
occasionally. I bought My Wife, the newly re released 1965 Beatles movie Help on DVD back in March.
I am from the southside originally, but I love the Chicago Cubs just as well.
Great to hear from You.
Please stay in touch.
Thank You.
Eddie K.
Grandpa's Bakery and Deli closed about 4 years ago. The windows today still have paper in them to block the interior view from the sidewalk.
I went there once and didn't like it. The food was expensive in the deli, and the workers didn't speak much English. No big loss.
