Recreating history in black and white on the Strasburg Railroad. Strasburg Pennsylvania USA. August 1990.

013_13 Strasburg # 90 leaving the Groff's Grove depot.

In August of 1990, I spent a week on vacation in Strasburg Pennsylvania.
I was curious to try shooting a roll of 35MM Kodak ASA 100 Speed black
and white film just for the fun of it all. The results were even better than
I ever thought that they would be.

I took this photo on a hazy and humid summer morning in August of 1990.
The outbound Strasburg Railroad train has just passed through Cherry Hill Junction, located across Cherry Hill Road from the Groff's Grove picnic station stop.
Steam locomotive #90 now has the clear, as it pulls it's inbound train back to the station at nearby East Strasburg Pennsylvania. The train is seen departing Groff's grove flagstop depot, in what could easilly appear to be a photo taken many decades ago. The old wooden open platform coaches add a nice touch to this working scene.
