I took this photo one afternoon in January of 1987. We are looking west from the South Pulaski Road overpass bridge, over the Belt Railway of Chicago, Clearing Yard. We are on the east or "Chicago" side of this huge railroad freight yard, as the crew of a GTW freight train, waits for clearance orders from the dispatcher to depart Clearing Yard. An all morning snowstorm, has blanketed the Greater Chicagoland area, as seen here in the fresh winter landscape at Clearing Yard.
