This photo was taken by My Cousin Allen way back in April of 1976.
Allen was an officer of the Wheaton Illinois Police Department back then, and was proboubly able to get this up close train wreck photo with no questions asked. Well...Maybe at least not too many anyhow.
A Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad freight train, apparently derailed in transit at speed. This photo shows the aftermath and clean up operations at the sight of the wreck.
