I took this photo one hot summer afternoon back in August of 2007.
A light blue garbage truck from the City of Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation, is viewed heading southbound on North Elston Avenue, in an area known as the Goose Island Industrial District on the northside of the city of Chicago Illinois.
The truck may either be heading to a local waste transfer station, gargage facility or equipment storage yard. These equipment storage yards in Chicago are refered to as "Ward Yards" as they are for certain neighborhoods they are assigned to service or "Wards" as they are known politicly in the Windy City.
