I tok this photo after work Monday night of this week.
The north suburban village of Glenview Illinois and many other communities on line, are recieving heavy track maintenance along the Metra / Canadian Pacific ex Milwaukee Road commuter mainline to Fox Lake Illinois.
The line up of specialized equipment shown here, is located on a siding just to the immediate south of the Lake Avenue underpass viaduct in the village of Glenview Illinois. During daytime hours, this equipment and the many crews required to operate them, have been performing many railroad infrastructure repairs along the former Milwaukee Road northline.
Trains that pass throug these work zones, are operating on slow orders with much horn blowing to warn the section crews.
