Entering the NorthWestern Station concourse building. (Gone.) Chicago Illinois. January 1984.

Hi everyone!
Welcome aboard Eddie's Railfan Page from the city of Chicago Illinois USA.

I took this now historic photo back in January of 1984.
Chicago's 1911 built NorthWestern Station on West Madison Street in downtown Chicago Illinois, was in it's last year of operation. The old building would be demolished during the upcomimg summer of 1984, to be replaced by a modern glass and steel skyscraper building that was originally named The Northwestern Atrium Center.

After the Union Pacific had acquired the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad through merger in 1995, the place would soon be renamed to the Richard B. Ogilvie Transportation Center in honor of the late Illinois Govoner.

This photo shows the the entrance to an enclosed pedestrian overpass bridge wich had spanned North Clinton Street, leading in to NorthWestern Station.
