Seen here, is a standard safety sticker applied by many transit bus companies. This was placed along the front steps at the entry doorway of transit buses, to warn passengers to be careful when boarding the bus. This vintage design, dates back to the 1950's and 60's era.
The example seen here, was applied by Chicago's Brookfield Zoo on the runing boards of their open air zoo train coaches. Chicago's Brookfield Zoo operated the 2 foot narrow guage Brookfoeld, Salt Creek & Western Railroad around the outside perimeter of the zoo from 1967 until 1985.
The Brookfield Zoo train was donated to The Hesston Steam Museum in 2002. For more information, log on to www.hesston.org
