The "Dinner In The Diner" sign and passenger train. The Illinois Railway Museum. Union Illinois USA. 1995.

I took this photo during a 1995 visit to The Illinois Railway Museum, located in the town of Union Illinois USA. www.irm.org

Special trains are sometimes operated at the Illinois Railway Museum. During this visit, the museum's recently restored 1920's era heavyweight dining car from the former Louisville & Nashvile Railroad, was coupled on to a museum coach train, and was actually serving hot meals on board.

This train, was billed as the "Dinner in the diner" train, wich quoted a lyric from the 1940's era big band pop standard song Chattanooga Choo Choo.
