I took this now historic photograph back in May of 2007.
The former Illinois Central Railroad owned Crawford Yard from the former I.C subsidiary railroad Chicago & Illinois Western, was in it's last few years of operation when I took this photograph on the near southwest side of Chicago, east of the border at west suburban Cicero Illinois.
The succesor railroad Canadian National, closed Crawford Yard in 2011 and removed the tracks.
These two Canadian National owned EMD locomotives, are viewed working the yard one lovely springtime afternoon.
