1967 era Santa Fe local enters the tunnel.

I photographed this digital live sound video recently, at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers,H.o Scale Model Railroad Club.

With an Alco model S 4 yard switcher still wearing the 1950's era black and silver zebra stripe color scheme leadingthe short freight train, and a rebuilt cabose in the post 1966 red and yellow color scheme...this freight train represents how a switching local from the former Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad may have looked like during the late 1960's.

Although Santa Fe had introduced a spiffy dark blue and yellow color scheme on these engines in 1960, it actually took quiete a while before the last engine in the zebra color scheme was either repainted or retired. Locomotives in this color scheme operated until the 1960's were nearly over.

Thanks.
