I took this photo on a hot summer day, in July of 1985. Seen here at the south terminal for the CTA Route # 52 Kedzie / California Avenue bus line located at west 63rd Place and South kedzie Avenue, is an elderly mid 1960's vintage Flxible transit bus in it's last year of operation. The fleet of these 1960's era buses would be retired in 1986. Some would become Maintenance Work Service Buses. These buses were a common site throughout Chicago during the 1960's and 70's.Welcome to my rail fan page! Here you'll find information and pictures of railroad related items from the Chicagoland area, Wisconsin and Indiana. Enjoy your stay. All Aboard!
