I took this photo during a July 2009 family visit to the Illinois Railway Museum, located in the rural town of Union Illinois. Although modern equipment by other peoples standards, this retired 2006 vintage M.A.N articulated electric trolleybus from the city of Seatle Washington, is now a proud operating exhibit at the Illinois Railway Museum.
Notice the soft brown leather seats inside this modern city bus. A far cry from the hard plastic and foam covered ones used in Chicago and other citties today.
