I took this photo after work one evening last week, in November of 2009.
With early darkness at this time of the year, I leave for work in darkness and return home in it too. However....It isn't without a photo opportunity or two.
North suburban Glenview Illinois has two Metra commuter rail stations. Just a mile south of here, is the Glenview Mera station wich is also shared by Amtrak at Lehigh Avenue and Glenview Road, and here of course is one that is known as "The Glen of North Glenview" station. The Glen of North Glenview station, is in close proximity to the former site of the now gone Glenview Naval Air Station wich was closed by then United States Preident Bill Clinton back in 1995. It has since been rebuilt in to a large shopping center with housing developement surrounding it. A few of the old Glenview Naval Air Station buildings have been saved and incorporated in to the Glen mall, including the old Air Traffic Controller's Tower.
