I took this photo after work one day, in late March of 2007.
It is the very earliest part of the Springtime season just begining, and there is still a very plentiful supply of straw brown wintertime scenery on location at Hawthorne Junction.
With radio clearance recieved from the dispatcher, a BNSF Railway unit grain trains heads southbound over the Belt Railway of Chicago enroute to Clearing Yard. The train is passing through the Canadian National ex Illinois Central crosstracks along the Chicago city limits border at west suburban Cicero Illinois.
