I took this photo looking west from the south or "Eastbound" platform at the Metra commuter rail station in west suburban Riverside Illinois.
There is nothing like a pleasant Springtime afternoon with nice weather on hand, to spend some quality outdoor time railfanning on location. Especially after a long and cold overcast winter like We just experienced in the greater Chicagoland area during 2010.
A westbound BNSF Railway double stack intermodal container train, is viewed passing through the Riverside Metra commuter rail station on a quiet Sunday afyernoon during the early Springtime.
