New Haven Railroad heavy electric streamlined locomotive built in 1938. From the internet.

I have always been fascinated by electric railroad subjects.

The long gone New York, New Haven And Hartford Railroad in the eastern United States, was one railroad who had embraced steam, diesel and heavy electric motive power.

It must have been something to see and hear the shear power generated by these brutes, as they worked under heavy load conditions pulling long freight trains.
