One local southside Chicago hot dog stand that has been in business as long as I can remember, is a little place located at approximately West 77th Street and South Kedzie Avenue in Chicago's Ashburn neighborhood, known as "Don's Hot Dogs".
Hot Dogs have always been a popular fast food choice for southside Chicagoans. There were many southside Chicago hot dog stands with names like "Fat Johnnie's" on South Western Avenue, Chickie's on South Pulaski Road, and of course "Don's Hot Dogs" on South Kedzie Avenue seen here.
If the hot dog sculpture on the roof putting condoments on itself looks familiar, Chicago's recently closed Kiddieland Amusement Park in Melrose Park Illinois had one like this as well in the park's eating area.
