Hamburger Heaven Drive In. Elmhurst Illinois. July 2008.

Spring is just starting up in the greater Chicagoland area, and Summer won't be too far behind.

A favorite seasonal activity of many Chicagoans, is a nocturnal visit to the surviving roadside Hamburger and Ice Cream standsfrom the past that are still in business today.

Hamburger Heaven located on the southeast corner of York Street and North Avenue in Elmhurst Illinois, is an example of the once common seasonal street corner fast food establishments from Chicago's past.

With it's classic architecture and walk up window, it is a survivor from the 1950's era.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
