I took this photo one late afternoon, back in early September of 2008.
An eastbound Canadian National freight train waiting on a hold order to proceed through 21st Street Junction south of downtown Chicago, is viewed idling on the viaduct bridge that spans South Canal Street and West Cermak Road.
This photo was taken facing south on South Canal Street near the Chicago River.
