Hi everyone!
This is Eddie K, your host and photographer here at Eddie's Railfan Page with a community reminder bulletin.
Be sure to visit the Downers Grove Public Library, located at 1050 Curtis Street in downtown west suburban Downers Grove Illinois this Saturday afternoon from 2:00 until 3:15 PM.
I will be hosting a multi media photo slideshow and lecture presentation about the history of public transportation in the city of Chicago Illinois.
My presentation is entitled "When Chicago Rode The Streetcars", and features many vintage photographs of Chicago, set to authentic, historic period music ranging from Ragtime Piano, Dixieland Jazz, and 1940's era Big Band Standards.
If You or someone you know had grown up in the city of Chicago prior to the end of CTA electric streetcar service in 1958, then you won't want to miss this fun and very family oriented presentation.
Climb aboard for a nostalgic transit ride down memory lane in Chicago, and see it once again the way it once was.
Admission is free.
Thanks.
Eddie K.
