This little musical interlude, is going out to all the fans of Colorado narrow gauge
railroading. The song here entitled "The Silverton" is about the former Denver & Rio
Grande Western Railroad's 3 foot narrow gauge steam powered Silverton Train, which travels between Durango and Silverton Colorado through the scenic Rocky mountains, through the
Animas River canyon. I rode the Silverton train with my family during a 1981 vacation to
Colorado and New Mexico.
The Silverton train today, is operated by the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
