Seaboard Air Line Railroad EMD NW 2 yard switcher # 1409. Baldwin Florida, September 6th, 1967. Frank Brunot photograph.

I found this photograph at my Link page Fallen Flags.Org, which is located to the right of your computer screen at www.rr-fallenflags.org

Railfan photographer Frank Brunot photographed Seaboard Air Line Railroad EMD NW 2 yard switcher diesel electric locomotive # 1409 on location at Baldwin Florida in September of 1967.
Although the S.A.L had already switched to an olive green and yellow paint scheme, locomotive # 1409 shown here, is still wearing it's original as delivered black and red color scheme.

During 1967, the Seaboard Air Line and the Atlantic Coast Line railroads had merged, and would become the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad. Today after many years and many mergers later, this railroad is part of today's huge CSX Transportation Company railroad.
