Northbound Indiana Harbor Belt light engine movement. Summit Illinois USA. June 2007.

Without a doubt, this is one of My personal alltime railfan photographs I had taken this summer. Seen here on a humid summer morning in June of 2007, are a two unit set of IHB EMD roadswitchers approaching Argo Yard in southwest suburban Summit Illinois running light without a freight train coupled on.

Hey Eddie,

Why is this a personal favorite? Are they rare?

Hi Tom.
No they are not rare, as locomotives can occasionally be seen running by themselves on any given day anywhere.
I guess You can say, that I have been a fan of the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad since 1977, when I began My Freshman year at Chicago's Curie high School.
I like the various IHB color schemes and equipment to this day.

I do not always have the privelidge of seeing an IHB light engine movement everyday, so maybe it could be kind of a rare sight.
It was a nice morning scene to photograph that day.

Thank You.
Eddie.
