I took this photo, on a beautifull springtime saturday afternoon, in April of the year 1988.A westbound Burlington Northern / Metra commuter local enroute to Aurora Illinois, is seen slowing for a stop at the Harlem Avenue commuter rail station just east of Riverside Illinois. In four more years, the elderly EMD E-9 diesel locomotives would be retired from the BN.
