I took this photo way back in July of the year 1986. Seen here awaiting for clearance for take off, is the performing group of jet stunt pilots known as the United States Air Force Thunderbirds. This photograph was taken at a Chicagoland military air show, at the long gone Glenview Naval Air Station in Chicago's northern suburbs. The Glenview Naval Air Station was a local Chicagoland military airport, that was officially closed during the 1990's under United States president Bill Clinton. The site today, has been redeveloped into a large housing community with tall condominiums.Welcome to my rail fan page! Here you'll find information and pictures of railroad related items from the Chicagoland area, Wisconsin and Indiana. Enjoy your stay. All Aboard!

WOW!
This is a very rare Chicagoland photo subject that is now lost to local history. I am so glad that You were there to photograph it before it was too late.
Thank You friend.
Keith.
