We are experiencing technical difficulties. The Illinois Railway Museum's September 1982 Members weekend. Union Illinois USA.

Sometimes the unplanned can even happen in a controlled evironment such as the Illinois Railway Museum.
In this photograph, recently acquired Milwaukee Road Fairbanks Morse H-10 -44 diesel switcher # 760, was dispatched to rescue one of the museum steam trains being pulled by Tuskegee Railroad 2-6-2 type # 101. Steam locomotive # 101 had developed a sudden brake problem on line, and couldn't move because the locomotives air brakes had become "Stuck". Milwaukee Road # 760 is seen here slowly pulling the locomotive and train back to one of the railroad museum shop buildings. Oops!
