East 95th Street drawbridge rising. Chicago IL. Mar 2012.
I photographed this digital live sound video on Sunday afternoon, March 4th, 2012.
The East 95th Street drawbridge on the far southeast side of Chicago over the Calumet River, is viewed opening to accomodate a huge Canadian great lakes freighter ship from the former Algoma Central Railroad, wich is now slowly approaching from the north.
If this bridge looks familiar to You, it was used for a spectacular "Car jumps an open drawbridge" scene from the 1980 movie "The Blues Brothers", wich had starred John Belushi and Dan Akroyd.
This bridge, is located on East 95th Street in the South Chicago neighborhood, just west of the border at Hammond Indiana USA.
Thanks.
Eddie K.
