I took this photo after work one slightly overcast afternoon during the early Springtime of 2007.
It is early April in the greater Chicagoland area. Two freight trains traveling over the Belt Railway of Chicago, meet at Hawthorne Junction along the Chicago city limits border at west suburban Cicero Illinois.
The train to the left, is a northbound Canadian Pacific transfer train with locomotives form the former Soo Line Railroad, wich is enroute to Cragin Junction and points west on the former Milwaukee Road.
The train to the right, is a southbound Norfolk Southern transfer train enroute to the Belt Railway of Chicago Clearing Yard in Bedford Park Illinois.
