Boxcar delivered. The Northwest Industrial Park. Chicago Illinois USA. Late June 2007.

The factory in the background was just serviced in the morning by a Union Pacific Railroad switching local. I took this photograph looking east from North Kilbourn Avenue, in Chicago's Northwest Industrial Park. Switching locals, are the very lifeline of railroading in metropolitan industrial parks, as car loads of incoming supplies, or an empty car or two required to send out manufactured goods, pays the bills.
